The second in our new series of case studies highlighting the artists, partners and organisations we work with across ART // TECH // PLAY, is now live. These stories dig into the collaborative, experimental and R&D-led approaches that shape Collusion’s work, to show how artists are developing bold new forms of immersive work using creative tech.
This case study focuses on Anna Brownsted, an artist working across multiple disciplines, including sound, installation, performance, and participatory practice. Since taking part in Collusion’s DataLab in 2017, Anna has benefited from engagement with ART // TECH // PLAY in several ways including receiving mentorship, undertaking research and development, and creating new work in collaboration with artists and researchers introduced to her by Collusion.
This support enabled Anna to deepen her exploration of how data can inform creative outcomes. Through Collusion’s SHAPE Hub project, she currently is collaborating with Professor Minna Sunikka-Blank (University of Cambridge) and Professor David Pearson (Anglia Ruskin University), to make a short film using gaze-tracking technology which captures women’s experiences of urban green spaces in Cambridge.
