Collusion seeks Lead Artist for MANIFESTO - Collusion

Collusion seeks Lead Artist for MANIFESTO25 August 2021

Read the BRIEF // DEADLINE // Thurs 09 September 2021

Since 2016 we’ve been the lead delivery partner for the Borough of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk’s GAME ON project which seeks to maximise the opportunity presented by the town’s permanently sited, large scale projection infrastructure through delivery of a trilogy of interactive climate change focused artworks. Following DRAWDOWN and The Intergalactic Hanseatic League, which launches 01 October, MANIFESTO will be the third project in the series, with the public outcomes taking place March to May 2022.

For this project, artists will work with young people to co-create a town-scale artwork showcasing a Manifesto for change, devised by the young people of the town as their response to climate change using open source software such as Pol.is.

We’re looking for a lead artist to create an overarching vision for the creative realisation of the Manifesto and to work with three or four other artists from the area to deliver specific aspects of that vision such as performance, projections and literary responses.

The full brief is available here.

Interested artists- individuals or companies, should submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) of up to two sides of A4 to Rachel Drury rachel@collusion.org.uk by 10am on Thursday 09 September 2021. Please see the brief for details of what should be included in the EOI.

The partners for the project are King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council, New Anglia LEP, Norfolk & Norwich Festival, and Norfolk County Council
