Our work focuses on three areas
Developing projects and arts talent
We create new public artworks that take a number of different forms, from major commissions to location-focused activities bringing together artists, technologists, and local communities. Wherever we work, we generate a legacy of new practice, skills, knowledge, and interdisciplinary networks. We do this by building projects that create an environment supportive of continuous learning, and by gathering people together from different sectors who would never otherwise meet (aka clever casting), together co-creating innovative, exciting artworks available to all. We work with artists and creatives to develop their practice and projects. We don’t expect artists to come to us having specific – or even any – experience of working with technology. We’re looking for great ideas and can help realise them, both conceptually and technically.
Developing skills and networks
We offer a programme of low-cost tech workshops taught by experts. These explore such exciting emerging and key technologies as Tilt Brush, motion capture, and augmented reality. We also hold meetups in Cambridge and beyond that are designed to bring a lineup of amazing speakers to a wider public audience. These workshops and meetups aim to share skills and knowledge as well as support the development of networks across locations, disciplines, and sectors.
We work with clients from both the public and private sectors to provide a range of support from bid-writing, training, and creative software development to developing cross-disciplinary arts/tech works that showcase and stimulate dialogue about emerging ideas and products.
