Make, code and light up your city! // £3506 August to 06 August 2019

Learn how to code your own neopixel light sequence on the BBC Micro:bit and see your customised laser cut city scape light up.

The Electric Citizens Summer Labs are the perfect summer activity for 9 – 13 year olds of all levels of experience and they are really fun!  Whether you have used any of this tech before or not, this  summer lab will guide you through a dynamic workshop led by by digital maker Katy Marshall, giving you the skills to create your own projects and help build Electric City.

In this lab, you will learn how to build a ‘light box’ building including creating the circuits to connect the digital components and coding the light sequence for the neopixel lights.

This is a 2.5 hour workshop beginning at 10am and finishing at 12.30pm.  Please bring a laptop with you or another suitable device to support coding.

This lab is one of a series of nine Electric Citizens Summer Labs – full list at
