Electric textiles // £3507 August to 07 August 2019

Ever wondered how to create ‘soft circuits’ using fabric and conductive thread?

The Electric Citizens Summer Labs are the perfect summer activity for 9 – 13 year olds of all levels of experience and they are really fun! Whether you have used any of this tech before or not, this  summer lab will guide you through a dynamic workshop led by  Dr Anjali Das, Head of Learning, Centre for Computing History, giving you the skills to create projects and help build Electric City.

In this lab, you will learn how to light up and take away your own version of the Electric Citizens design. Create your own ‘soft circuit’ using a series of neo-pixels stitched together with conductive thread.

This is a 2.5 hour workshop beginning at 2pm and finishing at 4.30pm.

This lab is one of a series of nine Electric Citizens Summer Labs – full list at https://www.junction.co.uk/electric-citizens
