Developing the Cambridge area as a national centre for arts and technology R&D, increasing digital innovation & enterprise across the area

in_collusion is a three year arts and creative industries development programme focused on enterprise and innovation.

Current opportunities: TBA

in_collusion is an exciting new talent development programme that will enhance creative technology skills and transfer knowledge across sectors. It will generate disruptive outcomes through the creation of content rich projects that explore the areas of artificial intelligence, virtual/augmented/mixed reality, and data culture.

Our activities will introduce you to new technologies and practices, immerse you in in-depth explorations, invite you to discussions with world leading thinkers, collaborate with you in the development of new ideas, and create exciting opportunities for small and larger scale projects and commissions.

In_collusion will achieve a step change in the production of interactive digital artwork by catalysing Cambridge, Europe's leading technology innovation hub, as an R&D centre for the development of artists, interdisciplinary collaboration, and production.  Our unique approach to enterprise and innovation brings together activities will develop around six interconnected centres - Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Huntingdon, King’s Lynn, Peterborough and Wisbech.

  • In Cambridge we'll be running an artists' development programme that's open to artists from across the UK. We'll curate unique opportunities to get up close to key tech issues and the people working on them, as well as offering fantastic commission opportunities.

  • In the 'hubs' of Bury St Edmunds, Huntingdon, Kings Lynn, Peterborough, and Wisbech we'll be building on existing activity and infrastructure to develop creative industries clusters, support skills development and develop activities that encourage innovation.

  • The outcomes will be shared with the arts sector and the public throughout and at a major showcase event in Spring 2019,  a 10 day immersive event which will profile all the work created, bringing visitors into a physical space to encounter & interact with new artworks, creating a strong sense of enquiry, engagement & enthralment.
